Share your research idea with the Guelph Lab
Do you have a research idea that could make a difference in Guelph? The Guelph Lab invites submissions from:
-
City of Guelph staff
-
University of Guelph researchers
-
Local community organizations
All Guelph Lab projects are built upon collaboration, involving the City, the University and the community. Community involvement can be through partnerships or meaningful engagements.
How can the Lab support your project idea?
The Lab works best when project ideas:
-
Address an issue with direct relevance and impact on the Guelph community.
-
Require involvement or action from the City of Guelph.
-
Align with the City’s strategic priorities.
-
Can be approached through research, collaboration and experimentation.
What happens after you submit?
-
Initial review: The Guelph Lab reviews the project idea. If it’s a match, the Lab will follow up with the applicant.
-
Team building: The Lab will connect with relevant City of Guelph staff, University of Guelph researchers and community partners (if available) to determine interest and form the prospective project team.
-
Project development: All partners will work together to define the project idea’s scope, funding and approach.
-
Final review: Before any Guelph Lab project officially begins, all partners, including the Lab’s Co-Directors, will review and approve the project proposal.
